Brick by brick, in the Dominican Republic, we build Hand Up Group housing in which a family in the community will dwell until they are able to purchase their own land. Once land is
purchased, we come alongside and help build their forever home. Thus, allowing another family to have the opportunity to live in the housing.
Included in our construction are projects such as drilling wells for water, installing roofs, plumbing, security walls, welding, and anything else that is requested upon us. During many of these projects we hire local men and women which creates jobs and provides food during their workdays.
Here in the United States, we have teamed up with another nonprofit in Kentucky that builds and refurbishes homes in desperate need of repair. In the future we are also looking at working with other local nonprofit organizations.
We recently started building a facility for our own teams to stay at that will house 30 missionaries! There are two floors, beds, kitchen, security walls, etc. and this will allow us to help the community even more.
We are very excited to finish our facility and start having larger teams travel with us. We also purchased a bus that will allow us to transport the missionaries safely.
